Making Natural Soap with my Calm essential oil blend. I'm testing a new vegan soap recipe, that I hope will work well. NOTE: I really enjoy this e/o blend and have shared the blend breakdown with you, however if you have sensitive skin or sensitive to certain essential oils (the one I'm focusing on here is Peru Balsam). It's a good idea to test this blend in your soap in a small test batch first - keep in mind to also re-measure the amount of e/o to use in a smaller batch ( .5 oz -1 oz per pound) or up to 5% max. Being in a wash off product, it's worked well for me. I would not use peru balsam in a leave on product (personal choice), even though it is used in skin care commercially. That being said, many other essential oils can pose irritations/reactions, so testing is always advised.
